Is this the intended design of Jomsocial? I would expect this to be a basic feature and function of a social networking package. uses should not have to refresh the page to see new comments to a post, and comments on existing streams should bump the post to the top of the page.

I hope this is a misconfiguration on my part.

I tried to put new post and comment. it works, no need to refresh the page.

Hello, sorry I will put more detail here.

create an additional user and log into the site with that user, create another user and log in with a different browser to keep sessions separate.

Post with one user on the site, the second user will not see the post until a refresh.

additional comments on the post will not show until users refresh the page. this makes conversations quite difficult when every user must refresh the page to see new comments.


2nd issue..

Old posts do not bump to the top of the page after comments.. Again users have to scroll or search each time to see a post, even when they are newer that others.

for latest stream item, you can set the setting at jomsocial backend > configuration > site, walls section
you can put the millisecond at Interval Time to Check for Latest Status.
