for vertical menu you need to put menu module at off canvas section.
you can activate it at socialize template settings, and assign menu module from joomla modules manager.

here the steps that I did:
1. goto joomla backend > extensions > templates > socialize
2. turn on off canvas:

.logo .toggle-button {
  display: none;
}

.t3-megamenu .nav.navbar-nav.level0 {
  display: none;
}
