ISSUE SUMMARY: Seems for me after uppgrading, following the instructions that the toolbar don't show up. I have been looking, but cant find where the issue is.

Hmm...it seems to me that members module are missing too. I was checking in modules yesterday but it was not there, so I Think I must have missed something in the installations process.
The following printscreen should not be there, so how can I remove that?

your issue not clear for me. as you can see from joomla module manager, members module and jomsocial toolbar is there.
and I can see it at from on.
