Hi,
Please you open the template.css inside dark template folder, and add this code :
color: #DDD;
.navbar-form .form-control
.navbar-form .form-control::-webkit-input-placeholder {
color: #DDD !important;
}
HI, Carlton.
You need to look for ".navbar-form .form-control" class in template.css file, inside dark template folder
I tried adding this code and it does not work.
Please fix and if possible placed in a way that it will not be removed during upgrade. thank you.
1. This problem existed at least 2 years now. How is not fixed in the standard/original coding?
Hi, Carlton.
This will be fixed in Socialize 2.1.
As for white bacground in JomSocial - this could be changed in Theme Designer... but it's available in PRO version only. This is not a bug, it's by design.
1. I asked about this fix for the dark template several versions ago and it's not yet fixed.
2. So the dark template like other features is no longer of any use unless I purchase the Pro Version. I previously had access to these modifications under a Theme Magic and it seems as if the accessibility to make template changes was moved from Socislize to JomSocial forcing all to buy the Pro Version. Why?
Can I get a fix for these please?
Hi, Carlton.
1. I'm not sure why this issue wasn't fixed before... I can only apology for that and assure that it will be fixed in next release. By default text and input values will be brighter to give better contrast. I'll not release new version without that fix ;)
2. No, it's not like that. The easiest way is to change JomSocial colors using Theme Designer that is available in PRO version. But still you may change their colors by overriding css styles. But this is a customization and you need to do it on your own. This is quite easy... if you're familiar with css. So there is nothing to fix in this case as nothing is broken. You just want to customize JomSocial colors to fit Socialize theme.
Thank you.
1. But I made those suggested modifications in the Dark template file but It does not work. I think the default programing from Theme Developer is overriding the changes Im trying to make in the CSS files??
2. If possible can you give me the codes and location to change "LINK" text in the "component" area?
Hi, Carlton.
1. Probably you did something wrong... well, 2.1 is really near.
2. Please, open new thread and do printscreen - mark on it what you want to change.
HI, Carlton.
Issues with dark theme will be fixed in Socialize 2.0.1.
It will be released this week.
