JomSocial Active Socialize Expired

Is there a way to make the menu on top, stay on top?

The area with the search and logo stays on top. I would like the menu to do it too if possible

Hi, Michael.

Yes, it's possible but may be a little bit tricky. It's enough to set menu container to position: fixed and set top margin so it won't hide under also fixed top bar.

BUT, you need to remember that Socialize has responsive design. That means menu will change into dropdown button and menu will be dropped after click. If you'll have a lot menu items or sub menus in menu then it will be "high" enough to move out the viewport... poart of menu will be not visible under viewport edge... and as position of menu container is fixed - you'll not able to scroll it down to see the rest of menu items. So having fixed menu in mobile view is a really bad idea.

But also this could be solved using display breakpoints and define position: fixed only for viewport larger than 1024px and position: relative for viewport that will be smaller than 1024px.

I'm sorry but I can't give you detailed instruction or ready code - in cases of extensive customization or layout changes we don't provide support as we'll be obligated to maintain those changes.

So I recommend to hire a developer who will do that for you: www.jomsocial.com/jomsocial-developers

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
