I was just watching a video called Editing JomSocial Template Files from Backend
But when I go to the backend of my site to edit templates under: components>jomssocial>configuration>templates I get the following blank screen when i click on the jomsocial template.
Does this editing feature not work when using Socialize templates?

I've just installed 4.0.5 on another test site and the same happens before I even install Socialize
Maybe its something wrong that I am doing.

This issue is not fixed on version 4.0.5, I just reported this issue today, and version 4.0.5 released today as well :)

The backend template editing option is removed from JomSocial 4 due the structural change of template layout which Joomla editors are not able to recognise

In versions before JomSocial 4 we had all the layout files in one (1) folder which was easy for joomla built in editor to access
Now we have multiple folders with many files in each and every one, and joomla editor gets confused by that so to say.
In addition, the editor there was very very limited. Basically it was like a plain text editor.
I suggest you to use proper code editor like Notepad++ which has way more advanced options, as im not really sure will we going to bring that editor built in 2008 :) If we ever...
