problems with socialize template

as shown in the pic above

green : menu does not show ( sub menu when hover
red : does not appear in its position
pink : supposed to be next to avatar
white : supposed to to be on the left
blue : all modules does not respond

activity stream do not appear

Hi.

Forum golden rule: ONE thread = ONE issue.
You merge too many issues in one thread so it make it harder to follow for us and other users.
So we'll work only one issue at a time - others will be ignored till you open new thread for them.

1. I already provided you css solution for your display issue... it seems that you failed to implement them correctly.
2. Disable js script merging/compression as it damages them. After you disable this option in template menu and tabs will work again.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

all of these issues happened after upgrading to jomsocial from 4.0.2 to 4.0.3
i updated the css files as u mentioned b4 but , can i at least know what it the new about 4.0.3 ???

So maybe your style.rtl.css was overwritten?
Just try implement my fixes once again.

each time i re edit the files it works and when i edit the template again same happens

Hi.

And how do you edit template files?
Just a) editing them where they are or b) creating override?
If a) then yes, your changes will be lost as you edit core files, they are overwritten during upgrade if b) they should be safe.

The ONLY proper way to modify template of ANY Joomla! extension is to create override - that is coping files to:

ROOT/templates/your-template/html/com_community/layouts/folder-name
