So my homepage has three menu items. Translated in English, those are HOME, NEWS and NETWORK.
HOME (homepage) contains only introduction to a site and a button REGISTER (and the toolbar at the top).
NETWORK contains the jomsocial module for login and registration - we don't want that at all.
The problem is, when user clicks on the REGISTER button on the homepage, it takes him to a registration form, which does not work if the NETWORK menu item is not published.
I think the most simple solution to this is to hide the NETWORK menu item from a menu. Could you help me with that?
Also, we would like that the whole main menu disappears once the user is logged in and comes to a jomsocial page. Could you help me with that, too?
That's really easy :) Just create another menu - cal it "Hidden menu", don't assign it to any module - will not be displayed on site. Then just move menu item that you want to hide, to that menu.
I use this trick all the time :D Just to get proper menu item ID.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
What about hiding the whole menu once the user is logged in?
One more quick question. Sometimes when I log in using the toolbar at the top, I get the "Invalid token". Is that a bug or do I have something turned on?
