Greetings Again,
Yesterday, while playing with my new Socialize, I found a back-end page that allowed me to add a moudule that added a tab to the member profile page and this was some kind fo map module that showed where the membrers "Fans" or Friends were located on a map. When I found this and added it, it was great. You now had 3 tabs below the member profile image and one was this Fans Map. It is now gone for some reason and I can't seem to locate where I found this so I can do this again. Can you please tell me where I find this so i can set this back up. Please don't tell me this was just a dream I had last night because this was one of the things I wanted this template for.
Thanks,
David
Hi, David.
In profile tabs are displayed (by default): stream and about me. The rest tabs in profile are APPS (plugins) and you can enable or disable them in Backend -> Extensions -> Plugin manager.
When you edit plugin you can set it as "core" app - that means it will appear on every profile. Or , if this is set to no - users will be able to enable it if they want.
You also could set position of those apps:
prntscr.com/6ha6kl
"Content" position will add tabs to line where stream and "about" me is.
"Main content" or sidebars will add apps to sidebars.
Michal,
This is the one thing you have told me how to do that I just can't seem to find the Plug-Ins you are talking about. While I am sure you are right on this as you have been right on everything so far, I can assure you that this is not how I got to it the first time. It was an app, but there was a page inside the Template back-end that allowed me to add aps. This is where I remember doing this. Can you please take a look again and see if you can give me more detailed instructions. I am sure I can do it as I was able to modify that CSS code with your nice instructcions.
Thanks,
David
Hi, David.
For sure, 100% my instructions are correct :)
It's not possible to enable this feature in template.
This is "Friend Location" app (plugin).
But there is also another way to enable it. Browse to: Frontent -> Profile -> Customize My Page and click ADD APPS button in area you want to have it.
Then all apps (plugins) need to be enabled in backend.
I can't access to your site backend as DAMartin account is gone... and you didn't provided new admin account...
Michal,
No doubt you are correct and now that you mention it, I think the way you described doing this from the front end may be exactly what I am remembering doing. None-The-Less, I will follow your instructions and do this the way you say. Now that I know the name of that module, it will be much easier.
Thanks,
David
