JomSocial Active Publisher Active AdAgency Expired Socialize Expired

Greetings,
Yes, I am back with more questions. I now have Socialize and love it. One quick one to get started thought. Under the Thememagic menu we have this display settings that allow me to change the collors of the various items. is there any documentation that tells me the name of each of these zones, for lack of a better term. For instance, if I go into the Colors tab, there are many fields with color codes. The only way I have to know which of these color codes it effects is to change that color then look at the display to see what has changed. This will take a lifetime. Do you have anything that tells me where all these color codes go on the page? I looked in all my downloaded stuff from Socialize, and I don't see anything that tells me anything about how all of this works. Will there be a Socialzie Hero video set or something that tells me how all of this works?

Thanks,

David

Hi, David.

You're right - such a documentation is certainly needed. I regret but we don't have it yet.
This is something we need to improve as soon as possible.
We have only few videos about Socialize:
socialize.jomsocial.com/jomsocial/all-videos/display?catid=3
But more extensive documentation is needed indeed.

As for now there are a lot of requests on forum so I can't prepare such a documentation now... but this should be a matter of a month.. maybe a bit more.

I add your request to my TODO list.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Michal,
I thought that might be the case. All in all, it's better for me. If I am going to do this, I might as well know how to do it. LOL. No better way to learn this stuff than to dig in and just do it. I am sure you all will be there to bail me out. By the way, switching to the Socialize template was a very good decision. I really like this template better and now all those little issue you found to be with my old template have gone away. Thanks for your patients.

David
