I followed the instructions for installing Socialize on JomSocial 4, but the end result was not really great. Some of the features are not showing up (like side menus) and spacing is off in lots of places.
Is there updated documentation available that shows installation of Social on a plain JomSocial demo system, as it is installed out of the box? I can get to you frontend demo system for JomSocial, but is there and Administrative demo system that why I can copy to figure out why my site is not working?
Your issues are caused by your site configuration. All those spaces and modules in wrong places. You used Joomla! with example data. This set modules to certain positions... that's why it looks strange.
Just disable them - if you don't need them... or assign to other positions.
Off canvas menus need to be enabled here: Backend -> Extensions -> Template Manager -> Socialize -> Add-ons -> Off-canvas Sidebar -> Enable -> ON
There is no separated documentation for Socialize template yet.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
