touch screen icon to iphone, ipad home screen?

Our current template msocial (gavickpro) allows users to add our favicon/icon to their iphone or ipad home screen. Does socialize do this and if so how do I customise the template to do this?

No that is not the issue - it is easy to add to a site page to an ipad - the ICON image feature means a responsive site looks like an app. I.e our current template msocial adds a touch device image of our choice to our user's screen. See attached. This is really important for users to get a sort of 'app type' experience. This is a very common template feature in most wordpress themes by the way.

Hi Susan,

This is easy to do if you follow the link here www.kylejlarson.com/blog/2013/adding-an-...oid-to-your-website/ and add the code into the head of the site template, in this case with socialize it's

templates\socialize\tpls\blocks\head.php

This will give you the solution for I devices and android and we will be adding this feature into socialize as it isn't hard to do

I'll ask template developer to add favicon upload/set field in next major release.
As for now you may only add favicon using method Paul provided.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Yes, it seems to be fine, favicon is displaying on my FF tabs.

I am happy with the favicon I just added in an image, it is the add to home screen button on the ipad and iphone - does the icon work for that?
