Did you install / enable the 3rd party which integrated with Jomsocial? I think this issue caused by it.
And then, I suggest you contact the sysadmin and debug the processing, where its coming from.

Im new with Joomla and I would like you explain me whta 3rd party are you talking about?
Please explain it to me as simple as you can.
You go to plugin manager, you can disable all plugins except plugins related with joomla and jomsocial.. i think the right way to debug is you contact the sysadmin and monitor what is going on.
I clone the jomsocial instance and made a second site with a subdomain. Im going to try desintalling 3rd party extensions until I find what is causing it. I´ll get back to you
