Using socialice template I think is great, but there are some issues to resolve like:
1. When I connect jomsocial with facebook, the Community Toolbar for Socialize Template turns messy, I do not like it!!! that means now there are 2 lines instead of one
2. the Community Toolbar for Socialize Template is limited, that means activate or deactivate some things like "create an account" option for example
3. using the Community Toolbar for Socialize Template, when I click on "Create an account" this option takes me to the joomla login module, not the jomsocial option to create an account
4. the Community Toolbar for Socialize Template can not be override, that means the username option can not be changed by the email word using a plugin called "email as username"
5. finally, jomsocial must give the option to eliminate the "username" option, that is because with email and password is enough, username is not used in too much websites and the username is confusing for some users.... for examle, some users put 2 or 3 words in this field
You posted in wrong forum category. I moved your post to correct one. Now, please, edit your first post and add your site credentials.
1. I need to test it on your site.
2. You can deactivate "Create account" button - if you deactivate registration on your site. It works the same way as Joomla! login form module.
3. You can override this by enabling JomSocial redirection module and set override option for Joomla! registration.
4. Yes, you can't do that... did developer of "email as username"plugin build his plugin to do that... probably not. This plugin will override only Joomla! default login form and probably, only that form (no BT Login module or SC Login module).
5. This is not JomSocial requirement but Joomlas. First form that appear in JomSocial registration is oblugatory joomla! form. We can't bypass that as JomSocial is just Joomla! extension and must follow it rules. Sure you can override it by using some 3rd party extensions. So if you'd like to see this feature in JomSocial, please, post your request here:
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
