I don't want to sound dumb on this aspect but I'm going through all my Jomsocial 3.2.1.1 settings since upgrading and noticed the following in the "Templates" section of JS.

As I have the "Socialize" template too, can you just clear up for me that really I should leave Jomsocial template for all Jomsocial elements and the "Socialize" template is mainly for Joomla pages etc but integrates any JS element required in joomla pages?
I know what I'm trying to say but i've been away from this site for some time and I'm getting back in to the swing of things but due to bad health I often forget things after a while, so apologies in advance.
I know It could be misleading a bit - a template setting in JomSocial configuration. So let me explain: there is difference between template in Joomla! and template in JomSocial. Template in Joomla! is used to style your entire site. Template in JomSocial are files that are responsible for displaying content of JomSocial only.
Feel free to change template in JomSocial - but make sure if template you set here is compatible with JomSocial version that you use currently. Sometimes template - if designed especially for JomSocial - it's delivered with additional template files that alter look of JomSocial to fit it well in global template. So just try it, it will not damage your site ;)
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
