Hello,

I have the "ini" files in corresponding language folders but the translation in our multi language web site is not working.

Hi, Juan.

It's probably because language file is outdated or corrupted.

There is only one way to fix it:

1. Copy and rename original English language file
2. Edit file and copy block by block from Spanish file to English
3. Save after each block and check if translation of that block was applied.
4. Proceed with every block that way
5. If suddenly translation is gone it means that certain line in this block is corrupted
6. Then copy this block line by line to find corrupted one...

There is no other way.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Michal,

Thanks for your help.

Yes, that works.

Although, there are some statements that there is no way they change as "Create an Account".

And how to change the titles of the modules?

How many "ini" files are required for translating a site? What are their names?

Hi, Juan.

If you want to change certain text then try to use language override feature:
www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/joom...ew-language-override
It's far better that to fiddle with ini file... of course if you want to change only some of them and not whole file ;)
So Try to search "Create an Account" in language overrides.

In order to change module title you need to edit module in Backend -> Extensions -> Modules _. certain module and Module Title field.

JomSocial frontend requires two language files:

en-GB.com_community.country.ini
en-GB.com_community.ini

Backend four:

en-GB.com_community.ini
en-GB.com_community.menu.ini
en-GB.com_community.sys.ini
en-GB.community.sys.ini

All files are located in language folders.

Hi Michal,

Many thanks for your fully information.

I followed all the steps for override feature and changes in the modules and everything went well except "COM_COMMUNITY_CREATE_ACCOUNT", this still does not change correctly, I tested other constants and the result was positive but not this one. Please, could you review it ?

* Moreover, I think this is, probably, not working because it is not the right constant. My problem concerns the "CREATE AN ACCOUNT" button in the socialize status-toolbar at the top of the "Home" page, this button may be is not the same thing that "COM_COMMUNITY_CREATE_ACCOUNT" constant, because by using the override feature, the value of the constant that appeared after the search was in lower case and the value of the button in the "Home" page is uppercase. I do not know if this can help.

Hi, Juan.

Constant for this button is: MOD_HELLOME_REGISTER :)
