JomSocial Expired Socialize Expired

Hi,

When I had my Joomla template running with Rockettheme, we were able to create an overriding custom.css file that would over ride template css with our own / more fine tuned.

Can you please clarify if this is possible with Socialize template and if so, where should this reside and in what exact file name?

Regards,
Rob

Hi Robert,
Yeap, it is possible to override all css at custom.css file.
Please add a css file named "custom.css" at "root/templates/socialize/css/"
and override any css styling there.
Thanks

Hi Ashraf,

Thank you for the reply firstly, much appreciated as always. :)

OK, so if I'm understanding correctly, I can create a new file called custom.css and place it in the following directory;

"root/templates/socialize/css/custom.css"

Can you just clarify the above?

Regards,
Rob

Hi Robert,
Yeah, just a bit correction.
If there already have one file named "custom.css" under the directory "root/templates/socialize/css" then just override style
and if no then create a css file "custom.css" there.

so the expected css file full location as "root/templates/socialize/css/custom.css"
Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the clarification.

However, there isn't already a custom/css in the "root/templates/socialize/css" so I created a new file and named it custom.css.

As soon as I did this and put the following code in;

#mapCanvas label { width: auto; display:inline; }
#mapCanvas img { max-width: none; }

which granted isn't for your extension it's for Nordmagraph's Geommunity for JS but still I believe it's an issue as once I uploaded the custom.css it knocks my geommunity for JS map out, again it's not your extension but I need a way to check that it isn't the actual creation, upload and use of a custom.css within the Socialize template.

Maybe I need to do something else for the system to recognise this custom.css file?

I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Regards,
Rob

Hi Robert,
I didn't get your point and
I have logged in at site backend and under socialize template I am also not seeing any such file (custom.css).
Please clear me.
Sometimes a screenshot is a very easy way to understand faster.
Thanks
