Hello

I have a problem when i choose the menu item type "external link" in a new page, that link opens the link in the new page, but the previous page also follows that same Link.

I have been tried to click on menu item as you said but i can not find your problem :)
That link was opened in new tab and previous page didn't change like you said :)
If i Missed something please let me know :)

This only happen on chrome on all other browsers (FF MS 11) the link opens correctly...

Can you confirm /unconfirm this?
