Hi there -

When I use the Joomla standard login or the Socialize login bar everything is fine. But if I use the JomSocial Redirect, it will not accept any valid username password combination, unless the username password has just been changed on the back end. Requesting a password reset and entering a validation code on the front end also does not work. I've seen this described as a Joomla 2.x problem (and maybe it was in 2.1.0) but the Joomla login component and the JomSocial works fine. Any suggestions on how to the the JomSocial redirect login to work? Thanks!

Hi Pat,
As I have also noticed the problem that the login is not working.
It may cause for several issue. We may need to check the php error log file.
Can you send me that file (you may ask that file from your hosting server support).
Meanwhile you can take few steps as
1. Disable all other third party extension from backend and check.
2. Can try with fresh joomla with save server at different directory.
3. You may take help from some developer who can help you by accessing cpanel.

Is there a way to disable the JomSocial Login that comes up when a guest reachs a JS page and call the standard Joomla Login until this problem is solved?

Hi Pat,
I have seen the error files both but there is not such error which is related with jomsocial or socialize template.
But as I am seeing that you have upgraded joomla latest version (3.2.2). which cause blank page at socialize template manager.
There is a fix for that.
Please send ftp info by editing your first post.

Hi Asraf - Sorry to say I've given up on the Socialize template due to this and other problems. But I still have the original thread problem of the JomSocial login not working while the Joomla login does. Is there any solution for that?

Hi Pat,
Sorry to say you that we didn't give you our best support but I am still here to support you.
Though you have switched your template but I have updated with the socialize template and the bug has gone.
One more important things what I want to mention you that, the blank page was showing for updation of Joomla latest version 3.2.2
What ever, the login problem still exist and I also have noticed.
But I need to check at the file and that's why I need to know the ftp access.
You can send me by editing your first post.
Can you help me with this?

Hi Pat,
I have tried using several steps.
I have disabled and enabled some plugins but what i am experiencing that, there are lots of third party extension installed.
but I have failed to see the error.
Probably the hosting server stopping to show error.
Last time you send me error log file which was not actual file.
So I can only solve the problem if we are success to identify the problem
and I need your co-operation to find the problem.
So can you send me the cpanel access?

So far it seems, it is conflicting with third party extension but we are not sure yet.
I have tried several way to find but did not get the problem where from it is causing.
Like Changing theme, disable module and plugins... But no luck.
I am still trying to find out the problem and discussing with other support guys.
I have informed to our developer also.
