Which override can i use to adjust the height of the profile cover to half of the size it is normally and keep the same width.

Open your template folder /css/ustom.css file
If your template does not have support override css file You can add the code at the end of template.css file code

@media only screen and (min-width: 481px)
{.joms-focus__cover, .joms-hcard__cover {
    max-height: 317px;
}}
