Hi friends!
I want to make a single registration page, which will:
- Name
- Last name
- Login
- E-mail
- Password
- Confirm password
- Gender
All of these fields I don't want to break the two pages and place them on the same page. Then the choice of an avatar and completes the registration.
I found a thread in the forum where this issue was raised:
www.jomsocial.com/forum/modules-plugins-...ation-process#167521
But how to do it? :) How to make uncheck the "basic information"? Please help!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for contacting us.
Registration flow is divided into few steps:
1. Joomla! obligatory user fields
2. Profile choosing (optional)
3. Profile fields
4. Avatar upload
Merging everything into one page will need to change whole registration process... and that will be rather core hack.
Core hacks are not recommended nor supported as they may not working with future JomSocial releases and/or cause issues that won't be not supported. Users with core files hack often refuse to upgrade their installation to keep those hacks and they are stuck with outdated and unsupported versions. Also, core hack will be overwritten during upgrade.

It will rather stay that way. On some communities many profile fields are used so displaying them on one page could make it very very log.
But there could be a walk around. There are registration modules available for Joomla!
You may combine them with Profile Completeness and Force Avatar upload plugins.
So users will register in a module with only few fields but after log in they will be redirected to profile and forced to complete it with avatar upload.
