Hello I have one issue with JavaScript from JomSocial and Mega menu I am using on site (SJ Mega Menu module www.smartaddons.com/joomla-extensions/co...ensions/sj-mega-menu ) problem manifest itself when I add sub-menu, menu is displayed on hover but it is not disappearing after I move mouse from it and I get following errors see image in attachment.

JavaScript with error is components/com_community/assets/vendors/jquery.min.js
I have solved this by renaming this script to jquery.minDELETED.js and error is gone and menu is working fine.
My question is will this modification somehow affect JomSocial functionality?
I have left this error active for you to see it and examine.

Zdravo Goran.

Thank you for contacting us.
It seems that jQuery was loaded twice on your site.
If you removed or renamed one to prevent it to load it should be fine. JomSocial needs only one library to be loaded.
If - after change - you do not experience any issues with JS then it's fine ;)

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

HI, Goran.

I talked with our developers and it seems that we started to load own version of jQuery as Joomla! one is outdated.
So disabling that file may cause some issues... probably with latest chat features... I'm not sure.
Our developers are working on this.

Chat is not the problem I will disable it if this JavaScript is related to it. I need menu items working :)
But would it be possible to set some kind of noconflict between Joomla and jomSocial javascript?

I know that but many users dont plus on mobile phones it is gonna become an issue for users.
I have just checked on my phone I have enter but it keeps entering new lines, so I cant send message.
There should be send buttons, this also applies to this:

Here is an update, messages are sent when default JomSocial theme is active and enter on phone is pressed, but in flat they are not.
So flat theme has an issue.

Still buttons are a must have. :)

I'm replying here as to not create another thread for the same issue.

It seems like loading a different version of jQuery without managing other versions was a pretty big miss. I would consider this a high-level bug fix and hopefully, it is addressed very quickly.

Thanks,
Jon

Dont worry Jonathan JomSocial have dream team running it. This will be solved. In my case simple delete has fixed it. Without any problems so far. So backward compatibility is already there, if it hasn't JomSocial 4.4 wouldn't work properly with joomla javascript.

Hi Guys!

Yes, yes, we're working on this and will provide fix ASAP (at the beginning of the next week probably).
The problem is that Joomla! offers outdated (and customized) version of jQuery.
So in order to implement new features we had to add own jQuery.
The option could be to disable Joomlas jQuery with that plugin: github.com/Poznakomlus/joomla_options
