I have two menus on my site
/index.php?option=com_community&view=frontpage&Itemid=1449
/index.php?option=com_community&view=frontpage&Itemid=1396
Now, I want that when links on jom-social front page have itemid 1449 when I open URL having Itemid 1449 and same with 1396. But jom-social is not behaving this way.
Thank you for contacting us.
You just have two separated menu items for JomSocial frontpage... what is wrong approach. You need to have only one.
If you want to link to frontpage again - just use menu item alias instead.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Actually I am displaying jom-social in iframe on homepage in module section.. As I don't want to display all module positions in this iframe so I had removed all module positions for this item id.
But in mobile view, I am not displaying this module position but I have jom-social toolbar in bottom . So, when we click on any jom-social link, it is suppose to show data in component area along with top and bottom module positions responsive for displaying top & bottom icons and toolbars
This is the reason for using two different menu id. Please let me know the solution that jom-social will use only active Itemid.
JomSocial will have that menu item that is set to. Links that you posted above clearly show that have two different menu item ID thus or you have two menu items for the same or you assign random menu item to the URL.
JomSocial should have ONE menu item to have one menu item ID. I presume that your issue is related with different module display... try rather Advanced Module manager, and extension that will allow you to set modules in more flexible way.
