Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
On my jomsocial page the registration for new users is disabled. Only invitations are allowed.
If a user is invited and go through the registration all works fine. After the registration the user is redirected to the jomsocial frontage. Is it possible to change this?
We hid all modules on the frontpage for guests so the user is not seeing anything. He should be redirected to our login page
Thank you for contacting us.
If registration is disabled... then how users can register?
Do you use any 3rd party extension for that purpose?
And what registration flow do you use? JomSocials?
Please:
1. Edit your first post.
2. Click switch below main text field:
prntscr.com/fk3hdg
3. Provide your site details: backend URL, admin credentials and FTP:
prntscr.com/fk3hwz
4. Let us know that you provided credentials by posting in the same thread.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
We only use the jomsocial invite system and user can register with jomsocial regisrtation flow.
They get an mail with a registration link. Here they can create their jomsocial profil. The last steps are uploading a avatar/profile picture and then a message appears that a mail was send and a button with startpage. I need to modify this startpage link.
So registration is enabled... in other case users couldn't register.
Copy this file:
ROOT/components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/register/success.php
to: ROOT/templates/your-template/html/com_community/layouts/register (if you don't have those folders - feel free to create them)
Then edit file and add your URL to line 14.
