I am setting up a social networking site that will require users to select the college/university they went to. Since there are a large number of universities in the U.S. (where we are based) I would like to set up conditional fields. For example:

If a user selects "New York" for their state, then the "College/University" dropdown will be populated only with New York-based colleges.

Can this be done with JomSocial core? If not, is there an addon you know of that will add this functionality?

Thanks for getting back to me but your response didn't really address my question. I am currently using custom fields and multiprofiles (in fact I'm also using the JomSocial Profile Types addon from JoomlaXi).

What I'm looking to do is make certain profile fields *conditional*. This is what I mean by that:

Let's say I have two fields ("State" and "College"). The "State" field is a selectbox with 3 options ("New Jersey, New York, Delaware"). The selection made in the "State" field will determine what list of colleges are displayed in the "College" selectbox.
i.e. the "College" field is *conditional* in relation to the "State" field.

Can this be done in JomSocial?
