Thank you for contacting us.
You may take two actions:
1. Set privacy for all photos to "Members" in Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Configuration -> Privacy
2. Or/and set no-indexed folders in ROOT/robots.txt. Check this file, it provides more information how to stop crawlers to scan certain folders on your server.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
Hi, if i disalow google to crawl the images they don´t like that, i get my members over google and bing and they say you get a bad ranking if you disallow images.
The problem is you cannot disallow the folders down /images/originalphotos/ and allow /images/banner/
You shouldn't get bad rating only because you do not allow Google crawler to scan certain folders on the server.
robots.txt was meant to do that and is accepted by most crawlers.
You may also try other option - set images privacy to members only.
