JomSocial Active Socialize Expired

I now face some strange behaviour concerned with jomsocial registration.

A new member registered, but instead of getting a notification email about the new member, the site admin receives a notification email containing the registration details of an already existing member.

So, something is going wrong.

Can you help?

Hi, Randolph.

Thank you for contacting us.
Administrator should receive new user registration email notifications.
If you set in Administrator account in backend "receive system emails" then notifications to admin will be sent.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Michal,

I do receive system emails. My problem is different from that.

Here's a step by step explanation:

1) New user registers
2) Admin receives email (starting with "Account Details for person XXX")
3) Admin receives second email (starting with "New user registered and is awaiting administrator approval ... This email contains the details: Name: YYY)
)

However, the second email comes along with user details that don't match with those of the person who has registered ( in my example: XXX). It contains the user details of another person, already being member (In my example: YYY).

HI, Randolph.

Actually those emails are sent and created by Joomla! itself... nevertheless I'll ask developer to take a look

Dear Dimas,

the strange behaviour continues on every registration. I will send snapshots of the weird notification emails via PM.

When I try to activate the new member, I get:

"Error
The most recent request was denied because it contained an invalid security token. Please refresh the page and try again."

this is very interesting.

On administrator side I only received the notification email attached.
The second email, which would allow me to activate your membership is missing.

Hi,

yes because the user it self should activate the members, so admin wont get it :)

Dear Dimas,

Joomla allows me either to activate new memberships automated (the case you describe), or through activation by administators. In order to avoid registration of scammers, we decided for the second option. That means every new membership so far has to be activated by an administrator. Doesn't Jomsocial support this option anymore?

I attached a screenshot of our Joomla settings. Is there anything wrong?

Remark: The described, weird behaviour of notification emails is very new. And it seems to me that it appeared only after update to Joomla 7.1.

Dear Dimas,

I tried to apply the patch. But file "register.php" doesn't contain this line of code: $useractivation = $multiprofile->approvals;

I'm using JS 4.3.3.

Hi Randolph,

Because you activated profile type and some of profile type set activation options to by user it self, doesnt need activation by admin.. so please you check your Jomsocial profile type make sure all profile type need approval from admin first :)

To fix the register.php issue please you download this file www.dropbox.com/s/l9g956jcriogx1y/register.php?dl=0 and copy to components/com_community/controllers/

Thank you
