JomSocial Active Socialize Active

Q1-a) I am new with JS and am just beginning. Have STANDARD installed. Am in the first step of working with user registration, login and frontent editing of user profile . I created a user on frontend using standard Joomla registration, not JS registration. I logged off and logged in again as that user. I can see the user profile, but I can not edit it and clicking on the cogwheel does nothing. Can someone say what I am missing? It is probably simple. I have spent hours without being able to figure it out. Pic "JS Profile" is attached. I have published/enabled all JS modules and plugins just to make sure. When registring a user, I also do not get all the fields to fill that I have set up in backend JS Customize Profile.

Q1-b) I added module JS Hello Me on frontent. Clicking "Register" on frontend brings the pop-up and I can enter all fields (name, username, e-mail and password). When clicking on "Next" nothing happens.

Q2. At installation a menu title "JomSocial" was inserted between my Main Menu and Login field (both at my module position "menu"). How did it get there and how can I remove it? I can find the menu JomSocial among the Joomla menus, but not a module that would place it on my menu line. Also, it only displays the menu title "JomSocial" , not the menu items themself. Pic "JS Menu" attached.

If you need logon credentials, how can I send those to you?

This is all very confusing and I need some serious help here.

Thanks,
Gunnar

HI, Gunnar.

Thank you for contacting us.

1. if you use regular Joomla! registration then your user miss all the profile fields. So it's recommended to use JomSocial registration or JS Force Fields plugin if you want to stay with regular Joomla! registration flow. Your issue could be related with js compression. Please, check if you didn't enabled it in your template.

2. Hmmm, it doesn't sound like Hello Me module behavior... I need to take a look at this.

3. This is just a menu item title. It was created in your site main menu.

Please send me via PM:

1. Your site backend URL
2. Super User credentials
3. Link to current forum thread (so I'll know to what your PM apply to).

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Someone please help. I am stuck and cannot continue with my website. The requested credentials have been sent to Michal and Dimas.

Only Q1-b) in my support request is relevant. Please ignore the other two questions.

Hi Gunnar,

I alraedy fixed that Q1-b issue.. this issue caused by allowed domain config on registration configuration, you need to set it empty... so user can login with whatever email.. which I registered with gmail account :)

thank you
