ISSUE SUMMARY: Touchscreen/Mobile Issue - Many mobile browsers (Chrome, Safari, and other) cannot communicate on the "Feed" because the send button is inaccessible via touchscreen. The Send button is still visible, but cannot be activated.
STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 - Log in to
www.Where2Wheel.com
using a mobile device
2 - Once on the Community News Feed Page, attempt to "Send" a comment
3 - You will notice that the "Send" button is visible, but unable to be activated
RESULT - Mobile users cannot communicate on the News Feed
EXPECTED RESULT - Mobile users can submit comments to the News Feed via the "Send" button
BROWSER - Chrome, Safari, and other (The only mobile browser I can post to the feed from is my HTC Internet Browser, and when using that browser I can "Send" posts via the "Enter/Return" button on the keyboard rather than using the "Send" button.)
Hi,
This is valid bug.. thank you for reporting.
cheers!
HI, David.
I confirm that fix for this issue will be available in next hot fix release.
@Dimas I'm glad this has been officially recognized as a bug. Thanks!
@Michat Any idea what release this will be included in? And also can you provide a date or approximate timeline that I can expect to see this fix released?
HI, David.
It should be released this month... but I can't provide more detailed date.
Hi David,
Would you mind to re-install jomsocial or override it with version 4.3? I think this issue already fixed on latest package... if still happens please you wait version 4.3.1 then :)
thank you!
@Dimas Running 4.3.0 and the bug still exists. I'll be looking forward to 4.3.1 as 85% of our traffic is mobile. Thanks and keep up the great work JS team!
Please check your private message, I give you the latest dev for version 4.3.1
thank you!
did you know we have new support system, for future question please you post into this page
www.jomsocial.com/submit-support
Installed 4.3.1 several days ago and the "Send" button on the Stream/Feed is still not accessible when using a mobile device (phone).
The "post" button at the top of the stream/feed is functioning properly, but users are still unable to comment on existing stream/feed items.
I have attached screenshots for clarification. Thanks for making this a priority JS team, mobile functionality is hugely important to my site!
Hi David,
I see, now this issue happens on real device, we tested it on responsive browser before.. this issue will totally fixed in next release.
thank you!
