STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 - Users
2 - Manage Users
3 - Edit User
4 - Select User John O\'Neal (His actual name is John O'Neal)

RESULT - Username Displays As John O\'Neal (Forward slashes also added in the Report Comments Section)
EXPECTED RESULT - Username Should Display As John O'Neal (No forward slashes added in Report Comments)

That is issue from Joomla users component, please you post this issue to Joomla forum.

Please you try edit the user from Jomsocial backend->Monitors->members, it will be fine there.
