I have a fitness social network. In the profile question, at sign-up, what is the best method/format to capture a person’s age so that a search can be performed on age?
Example – A search may be performed for – an Endomorph body-type, 40 years of age, male, six feet tall, that’s African American.
- Is there a module or special extension needed to acquire the age on the profile question?
- Can I make a profile question to allow for an age range to be searched, for instance, between 25 and 30 years of age?
NOTE - I want the age of the person for advertising purposes.

What is the easiest way, or the best question format to capture the age? I want it to be easy and convenient for users to select.
One more questions for this subject.
What format will the date question look like when the person sign-up? Will it look like the Facebook format -
www.facebook.com/
?
I want a format that will allow potential advertisers to capture birthrates to market ads to users.
What happen to the ToolTip box for the profile questions? I can't find it.
When a person sign-up, how will the format of the profile date question look?
1) will it be a blank box for them to enter a number for their age
2) will it be a menu for month, date, and year, like Facebook
3) will it be just a drop down menu for the year of birth
I will show the the datepicker as common date picker on jomsocial date input, and when you set display as age, we will calculate the age depend your datebirth.
