Your screenshoot is from model detail photo right? we dont have options to modify cover there, as you can see there we already have "Set as album cover"

What i mean is that jomsocial has not opción any link as on desktop for mobile, as Facebook do prntscr.com/c8qlet , maybe is good option to post it on jomsocial uservoice.

We already have it with different UX, click options on profile page and you will see options to modify cover.
