I want to assigne a joomla group to a user.
The joomla registration user function (on user registration as an event) can't get profile id (profile_id) from jomsocial database table.
My target is: I want to assign a joomla user group based on to its profile id of jomsocial.
I try to use the "on user registrate" by joomla and i get the id of new registered. I've done a query for retrive the profile_id but the function has returned to me the profile_id.
I ask: Do Jomsocial assigne the profile_if only after the registration event (joomla)?
Can you help me to resolve it?

As for now you can't assign members to Joomla! group basing on profile type chosen during registration.
But you may use this extension that could allow you to do that:

Yes, as first Joomla! account is created (first page in JS registration flow.
Profile is created after profile fields are saved.
