I don't think this issue has ever been fixed on any of the iterations of jomsocial since the 3 series (at least on my site) and the lack of forum posts would lead me to believe that there is a setting or conflict somewhere on my site, but in any event, anytime the "created" date/time stamp is added to an item (most noticeable in the activity feed), the time is usually about 8-9 hours ahead of the time it shows locally. I know from previous posts, it's supposed to go off of the joomla user's timezone settings, but I have double checked the default timezone (america/chicago) as well as the users I am logged in as, and there is nothing I can see that would indicate why it would stay on GMT and not adjust. I've even adjusted the daylight sayvings to the -4 and yet the time still doesn't change. I've posted new items after i changed the settings and the time still shows the same as the previous test posts (just a couple minutes later).
I've added some temporary php code to the profile template to see what the server time would show and it shows the exact time it is supposed to. All my other extensions also have no issues with the site time, it's only JomSocial I have this issue with. Any direction regarding this would be greatly appreciated.
I got confirmation from our Project Manager, which this configuration "Activity Stream Date Style" will be removed on next release, since this is deprecated feature.
