I think you get timeout error, but I am not sure, I need to know the error detail, I already tried to set error reporting to maximum but useless.
please ask to your sys-admin guy to check the error detail.. and let me know what do you get.

Page just goes blank? No error messages and even if i type the url you cant access and activity feed page? You can try logging in with these profiles and see what happens...
if you go to main jomsocial page does not even let you access that page?

can you try to access error.log on your server log? and let me know what do you get, hard to us fix this issue if we dont know the error detail (just blank)
I dont know how to do this? we have no webmaster as we are a small nonprofit and the person helping us has passed away. None of the members are familiar with joomla.

I mean you can ask the sys-admin from your hosting provider, do you host your website on siteground right? Please you ask them, to check that blank page, and see the error log.

i am on the phone with host and they say no fatal errors apearing in the logs.
they are asking if there is there a specific server setting that needs to be change for it to work.

Ah I found the problem, this issue caused by huge queries on your streams, you was set "Frontpage Activities" to 100, and it made your website broken, I changed to smaller size, and its working now.

OMg thank you soooooooo much!!! It worked for me on safari but on chrome and firefox still giving this error message?

seems that is cache issue, just clear the cache for making it works :)
i cleared cache and history on my computer and joola admin. I was able to login on chrome and safari as two different users still having problems with forefox and this admin
