ISSUE SUMMARY: Just over-all issues with what I think is Javascript related. Elements of the site seem to hang and stop loading, leading to functionality that doesn't work across the Jomsocial component of the site.

Here is a video showing each issue: www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYRBBTQvTng

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Try to play videos, refresh if necessary to see play button appear or is missing
2 Try to post a status on front page, sometimes it loads, sometimes partially loads or not at all
3 Try to post comments in other areas and sometimes it loads, sometimes partially loads or not at all
4 Try to upload images as part of albums and for some visitors hangs and does nothing, leaving empty albums

RESULT
EXPECTED RESULT Aspects of the site only work maybe 50-60% of the time

Hi, Marc.

Please, try to disable jchoptimize plugin and check if everything back to normal.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Michael, thanks for the tip. I tested and disabled JCHYotimize (and cleared the cache) and the troubles remained, so it seems it's not that plugin.

Thanks Albertus, it is a curious issue. I tested everything tonight just before disabling everything and like you I had no problems. Then after disabling everything - still no problems. The video play button seems to work in both configurations (both Gzip and compression on or off and clearing the cache), yet I didn't do anything to the admin to alter the functionality. There is still a short lag time before the button shows up but it does appear now consistently. Is there anything else you want me to try? I think I will mark this systemic issue as solved and I will post the minor problems (like photo count) in another thread. If it occurs again I will ask for help on this issue. Thank you for your help!
