Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
Notification emails on comments don't include URL to message
Notification emails on comments don't include link to the post (no 'read the message' link ...)
STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Comment a post (in group)
2 Notification email is sent / received
3 there's no 'read the message' link in the notification email
4 People can only click top header of the message, which takes them to the frontpage, instead of the message.

RESULT
People who receive notification email, can't get to the message, because there is no link
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
that's quite interesting. From your screenshot I see, that URL (to message) is included in your test comment. But, it's missing in the next two comments.
investigated the issue further and, it showed that the error occurs if someone comments on his own message.
The notification emails for these cases display the comment text only, while intro text + link to message (URL) are missing.
In my test case a person named Miriam posted the initial message (in group). You can see, that everytime this person adds a comment, the notification emails don't include intro text + link to message (URL).
Thank you for investigating this further.
I was able to replicate that issue on my test site.
I'll pass this report to our developers.
