JomSocial Active Publisher Active AdAgency Expired Socialize Expired

Greetings Pro's,
I don't know if you have a solution for this one or not, but I have some clown that has a server and is creating member profiles on my site, www.madd-talent.com . He is creating about 30 new members per day and has been for the past 3 days. I have no clue who this person is, but all his members have email addresses ending in @iamcool.eu . I don't know if there is a way to just block all members that create an account with an email address ending in @iamcool.eu, but if there is, can you tell me? At this point, this clown has caused no problems on my site. I have just been going in and deleting all the profiles he sets up with a @iamcool.eu email address, but it's getting to be a pain.

Thanks,

David

Hi,

seem that user sign in to your site using joomla default page:
madd-talent.com/component/users/?view=registration

please activate jomsocial redirect plugin, and make sure you set Override com_user registration. so no one can visit that joomla default page.
after that, goto jomsocial backend > configuration > site > registrations, and put that Denied Domains, e.g: iamcool.eu

so that domain cannot be used anymore for registration.

I hope this solution can tackle this issue.

Albertus,
Thank you so much for your help on this one. While it was really not causing a problem, it was a pain in the but to delete all those accounts everyday. Now, I was able to set the plug in just as you described. However, the backend part - goto jomsocial backend > configuration > site > registrations, and put that Denied Domains, e.g: iamcool.eu

I was able to get as far as Site, but I could not locate the Registration. I you don't mind, could you please tell me where to look for that, I don't see it.

Thanks,

David
