ISSUE SUMMARY: Hi, I would like to put banner ads in my notification emails. I previously asked how to do this, but didn't implement it. Please can you give me the exact code to insert the banners and the following wording into Discussion notifications and Event notifications? We have had trouble when we have edited notification messages before using language overrides!

For email notification message we want less words as well, as when viewed on a phonescreen there are too many extra words! The Text we want is below:

Discussion email notification
INSERT BANNER IMAGE
User X has started a discussion in {Group name}

Message:

To reply (emailed only to others posting replies), visit {URL}

please REMOVE 'Hi Username' and any other words apart from those above!

But email template is nested in parent template:

ROOT/components/com_community/templates/default/email.html.php

So do a override of the parent template and add your advertisement and text there.

We can't give you banner code as... it depends what banner you want to add. I guess that iframes won't be accepted by some email clients. Also js scripts... so no Google Ads.

It should be rather just an image, then just <img src="absolute/path/to/image" alt="image name">

You need to decide if you want it in specific emails - then edit certain email template. Or you want to add the same banner to all emails - then edit email.html.php

You may change any text using language override: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Changin...gle_Sentence_or_Word
but you know that... so I'm not sure what you request here ^^
