ISSUE SUMMARY: I would like to remove the friends.connect type of messages from the activity stream. I was looking in \components\com_community\libraries\activities.php and trying to alter the exceptions list, but cannot pin point where to do this. If we set the number of items to show in the module to 10, I want to remove the 8 friends.connect items from the 10, and show 10 meaningful items - events, groups, images, etc.

Hiding with CSS isn't desired.

Hi,

please goto jomsocial backend > monitor > activity, and delete those stream items.
after that goto jomsocial backend > configuration > user points, and turn off Friend Request Is Approved from activity state.
