&amp issue

ISSUE SUMMARY: Whenever i use the word & in my site it is accompanied by the word amp. For instance in my profile details if a user selects there college Alabama State A&M it will read A&M once saved. Is there a fix for this?

Please, post a printscreen of your issue.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi,

its a bug. but here the temporary fix:
edit /components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/profile.about.php at line 41, change the code from

$fieldData = $this->escape($fieldData);
to
$fieldData = $fieldData;

ok yea it is working now, it just wont let me search user with similar fields if the & is in the name...will there be a fix for this soon?

ok so the bug just appeared randomly? But anyway thanks for the temp fix. helps a lot..will i need to update when you guys update jomsocial?
