What is the appropriate language override to adjust the exact text displayed at the "1" for number of likes on comments? I want to add parentheses such as this: "(1)".

I will appreciate your assistance.

You should override this file components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/stream/actions.php, find this code :

<span class="joms-like__counter--<?php echo $act->id; ?>"><?php echo $act->likeCount; ?></span>

replace to :

( <span class="joms-like__counter--<?php echo $act->id; ?>"><?php echo $act->likeCount; ?></span> )
