ISSUE SUMMARY:
I like the '+' button on the Discussion tab in Groups. I would like to add one of these to the Events tab in groups as a short cut to add an event. How do I do this?

You should modify this file components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/groups/single.php, find this code :
