ISSUE SUMMARY:
In and old version, far.. far.. away... Administrators were able to directly edit the text on the user's "about me" on the front end.
Has this been removed?

Some site users write very bad things in their about me, and its not easy remove or change it anymore...

please goto jomsocial backend > monitor > members, find and edit that user (click on username).

Thanks for that. I realise this is possible, but can be a little time consuming. Additionally I plan to have volunteers to help moderate the site, but I don't want them being able to log into the backend in case anything goes wrong such as removing a component - that would be bad!

This feature existed previously, are there plans to bring it back?
I think this may be a concern for other sites who may also be nervous of bringing in moderators to the admin section of the site..

there is no plans to put back deprecated feature.
I suggest you to put user voice at:
www.jomsocial.com/uservoice

if any users vote the request, maybe jomsocial can put it back.
