400 - It has been detected a sequence that could mean a hacker attack.
ISSUE SUMMARY:
This is random and I cannot figure it out. I reported it to my service provider who hosts my website, and they looked at their log files and cannot find anything. They think that Jomsocial is sending out some sort of script that is not liked and get the 400 error.
Sometimes when I log in, I get the error "400 - It has been detected a sequence that could mean a hacker attack. Your request can not be processed.". When I just tried to create a new account under Jomsocial, I just got the same error.
This is happening in both IE an Chrome. I was wondering if you were able to help.
My provider sent me this email. I am still having problems, but maybe the info inside the email would be helpful.
I would assume that what ever your plugin is trying to do with the site it is tripping a Mod_Security rule on the server that is not allowed in order to maintain security.
We may be able to provide that rule if we are able to see it again or replicate it, however as you are on shared it is not something we would be able to disable on the server, however if you need you can disable it from CPanel on your site, however do take note that Mod_Security helps to prevent command hacks to effect your site and is not something we recommend that you remove. It may be best to speak with the plugin developer about the issue and if they know of a work around.
I also had the same problem with another service provider in the past with Jomsocial when trying to create an account under Jomsocial.
