As for profile "individual member" I enabled field "gender". However, jomsocial for all members now displays a male avatar, irrespective of the users' choice. Is this the way it's meant?

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Create multiprofiles
2 Enable gender field
3 New members during registration select gender

RESULT
Everyone is applied the same male avatar

EXPECTED RESULT

Hi,

seem you have override for default male/female default avatar.
in what way do you made that override? I need to know if you did in right way or not.

and please edit your post and provide me FTP access detail, I need it for debugging purpose.

Hi Albertus,

there's no override of avatar functionality. But my observation is that, before activating the multiprofile functionality the member avatars were fetched from folder ../com_community/assets, while after activation all avatars are fetched from folder \images\watermarks. When looking into this latter folder there's only male avatars.

Hope this helps somehow

Hi Albertus,

good news! I managed to bring back the gender-specific avatars. But it was rather coincidence than planned.

In JS theme designer I changed avatar style from "border" to "plain". And this simple action did the trick. It immediately brought back the gender specific avatars. No real explanation for this phenomenon, but happy about the result.

I will check this solution for reliability during the next days, and if everything works fine will set the ticket status to "solved".

Regards
