ISSUE SUMMARY:
On my site I have a public section where I have a small forum and hence require users to register in order to write. Users are added to the "registered" Joomla Group. I also have a private section where JomSocial is running. In order for user to gain access to this, I swap the user group to "member". This all works very well - here is my issue:
In JomSocial, if I want to look at or search for members, I get the entire list on users on my site ("Registered" + "member")
Is there anyway that I can limit JomSocial from showing all the users and only show those in a specific user group ?
Well, my solution was to use the ACL groups, but if there is any other way, I am more then open. If I maybe somehow can flag the users that is also part of the JomSocial part, and that way filter the other users out.
So I guess my question is more towards, In the member lists, in JomSocial - is there a way to filter out those that does not have access or do I have to live with that a search for a member will result in hundreds that are not in JomSocial.
I hope it makes sence, I think I got it written an bit strange :-)
I had a look at the code and I might be able to fix something myself :-)
It might be worth adding this as an Enhancement Request - I am sure that others would benefit from it as well :-)
