Hi, Steve.

It's because in a fact they are not "firstname" and "lastname" but username and login.
Joomla! doesn't have (by default) fields for "firstname" and "lastname".

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Michal,
I'm basing the format on the jomsocial documentation for CSV import: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Users_E..._and_Import_from_CSV

In order for CSV import to work, you will need CSV file with three (3) comma separated values formatted as
First Name, Last name. Email Address

Besides the fact that there is a typo in the example, the import seems to use the first value and third value from the import - first value becomes name and third value becomes username and email address. I can obviously work around this by putting the entire name in the first value but is the second value actually used for anything that I should be concerned about?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi, Steve.

Joomla has only one field for user name so when one column "First Name' is present in csv ten next column "Last name' is ignored.
