Hello Support,
Here's what I want to achieve with JomSocial:
We have created different groups.
When a new user logs on to this is to select a group.
The administrator of this group is to receive an email notification that the user has logged on. How can I do this?
Thank you!

In addition, I still ask 2:
1. How can I create a specific membership list, eg only members with this place of residence or only members from Germany or a specific group?
2. Unfortunately, I do not receive e-mail notification when new registrations. Where do I set it?

Many Thanks!

Hi, Laura.

a) This can't be done. Not when user LOGS in to a certain group... as there is NO a specific login to a group. user may login to Joomla... or JomSocial (depends what module you use, but anyway it's basically the same thing). Admin may get email notification ONLY when group is private and access to group is moderated (you may set that in JomSocial group settings in backend).

Probably on JED (Joomla Extensions Directory) you'll find extension that may send emails upon user login (to Joomla!/Jomsocial - opening session)... but in Community soon you'll be flooded by emails :)

1. Login to JomSocial as an admin. Then browse to Advanced Search. Specify criteria e.g Country = German. Hit search. You should see list of users. Under criteria will appear button "Save this search filter": snag.gy/JK218.jpg

Then give it a title, ignore description and choose menu where menu item should appear. Save. Thanks to it you'll be able to create menu item that after click will take to search result e.g all users from Germany.

2. I just registered on your site and received emails:

E-mails work fine out of the box. Please, check your spam box.

Hello Michal,
thank you.

To the email problem: the new user get Email after gegistration. But the admin not.

Is it the global email Address in Joomla! configuration?

Hi, Laura.

I guess it's rather related with JomSocial - in Joomla! you may set that accounts will be activated by admin.
JomSocial doesn't follow those settings.
I talked some time ago with Product Manager and he agreed that we need to reintroduce this feature.
It will be available (probably) in version 4.2.

If you want it now you need to let your user register via Joomla! - not JomSocial.

Hi Michal,
is it possible that the admin get the same Emails after the registration like the users, practically as a copy?

That would be great!

Thank you

Hi, Laura.

You may try this: welcometojoomla.com/how-do-i-articles/34...registers-at-my-site

I this won't work... then it's can't be done in easy way, you'll have to look for 3rd party extension that will notice you about new user or hack Joomla! core to forward emails to admin.
