Newly registered users don't receive a verification link
Thank you for joining the Belgian Pain Society (Belgian Pain Society, the Belgian reference website about pain and treatment of pain.). Your account details are as follows:
Username: XXXX
Password: XXXXX
MAIL 2:
Hello Dokter dirk,
Thank you for joining the Belgian Pain Society. Your account has been created and will be activated by the Admin after receipt of payment.
Please transfer the correct amount to the BPS account IBAN BEXX XXX XXX XXXX:
€45 a year for doctors in education and nurses / €70 for doctors and medical specialists.
Thank you.
-> this last email is totally modified by my predecessor I guess.
As you can see, there is no verification link sent in both mails. As a consequence, the administrator don't receive a e-mail to notify that there is a new registrant, and they don't get activated either.
Should I somehow add a verification link to the e-mails? If so, how?
at latest jomsocial version, we changing it by following joomla way.
After registering the new user receives an e-mail message containing a link with a token to verify their email address. This step to prevent "fake" email address
After the users email address has been verified, site admin with the Receive System Messages option enabled will receive an email message notifying them that a user has verified their email address and requests that their account be activated. That email message will contain a link with a token to activate the account.
I updated jomsocial, and the user registration approval was already set to "admin" in the user manager. Updating didn't change anything, the emails that the users receive are still the same as in my first message, with no link with a token to verify their email address.
